Service Policy
1. Scope of services
BlackLava provides translation, revision, proofreading and related language-support services.
The exact scope of each assignment is defined in the quote or written project confirmation.
2. Quotes and project acceptance
Quotes normally specify language pair, service type, delivery schedule and price. A project is considered
accepted once the client confirms the quote in writing.
3. Delivery and revisions
Delivery times are agreed before work begins. Clients should review delivered files promptly and notify
BlackLava of any justified concerns within a reasonable period so they can be assessed and, where appropriate,
corrected.
4. Quality and terminology
Every project is handled with care for accuracy, consistency, style and subject-matter relevance. Where
available, client glossaries, reference files and instructions are incorporated into the workflow.
5. Confidentiality
Client documents and project information are treated as confidential. Materials are only shared when necessary
for delivery of the requested service and under appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
6. Payment and cancellations
Payment terms are agreed in advance. For cancelled projects, BlackLava may charge for work already completed
up to the cancellation date.
7. Limitation of liability
BlackLava aims to provide accurate, professional work, but liability is limited to the value of the service
provided, except where mandatory law states otherwise.
